Our farm and holiday cottages are ideally placed to experience the best that Cornwall has to offer. We are situated on the rolling green hills of the Mylor downs equidistant between the historic maritime town of Falmouth and the bustling City of Truro. The gorgeous family friendly beaches of the south coast are a short car journey away and the more wild surfing beaches of the North coast are around nine miles drive away. Traditional Cornish pubs are in abundance, serving freshly caught fish and local fare and traditionally brewed local ales.
Mylor Sailing School offers dingy sailing lessons for children and adults or hire a kayak and paddle to our local, the infamous waterside Pandora Inn which overlooks the beautiful Restronguet Creek and the Carrick Roads, where you can land and soak up the atmosphere. There is a wealth of beaches, creeks and stunning scenery to explore. The beaches of Gyllynvase and Maenporth are a 15 minute drive and Pendower and Rosevine on the idyllic Roseland Peninsular are short and fun ferry ride away. When the surfs up, Perranporth, Fistral or Gwithian beaches are great options for surfing. Or cycling fans can explore the extensive cycle routes including Bissoe and the Camel bike trail. Enjoy the catch of the day the Cornish way with fish and chips at Rick Steins Seafood restaurant in Padstow or Falmouth, where you can also take in the Maritime Museum. The green fingered can visit the gardens of Trelissick, Glendurgan, Trebah or Heligan and music fans will love the diverse range of bands playing in intimate local venues such as Miss Peapods Cafe (our local venue for live music). This is a very small taste of what’s on offer to enjoy on your holiday, and having lived here for many years, we will always have loads of fun suggestions to suit all interests. But of course, you can always just sit back and relax back on the farm. It’s your holiday after all, and we want you to love every minute of it!
Whats on the farm?
Visitors are free to wander our 20 acres of idyllic, rich grazing land with abundant traditional Cornish hedges which provide an ideal habitat for local wildlife.
Home produced beef, pork, eggs and organic vegetables (subject to availability) are available from our farm and we are keen to promote our excellent range of producers of Cornish food. Visitors are welcome to participate in farm activities, such as feeding the chickens, cows or pigs as little or as much as they want, or just relax and unwind in your rural home. It’s up to you.
